The world is moving towards a sustainable future and the development of technologies in this direction is crucial. The only way forward is to prioritize the sustainable production and use of energy. The conference EECE-2018 will bring together energy engineering and sustainability experts from academia, industry to uncover the challenges and solutions to ensuring secure and sustainable production and use of energy resources. The purpose of the conference is to exploit the produced synergy from the intervention of speakers and participants with different profiles to analyze and to propose solutions to the current problems. This conference will disseminate the most recent advances in this field and promote collaborations to maximize opportunities for innovative solutions. New developments in renewable energy generation, transmission, storage, and consumption are pertinent to this conference.

*The participation for scientists from partners’ universities is defined by a special fee level. The participation with poster report could ask for a special fee level.

Conference fee for participation covers (for one person): a conference bag with related documents (program and CD, badge, certificates etc.), participation in all sessions and conference events (lunches, coffee breaks, gala dinner).

Conference fee for accompanying person covers: lunches, coffee breaks, conference gala dinner.

Conference fee does not include accommodation payment. The costs of travel and accommodation paper presenters cover themselves. All payments from the Russian citizens and organizations are made in rubles.

Paper submission

Origin, Motivation and Contribution

Please note that papers must be original research manuscripts, never published before, and not under consideration for publication in any other conference proceeding (journal etc.). All papers are supposed to present novel research results of international interest. All papers should be in the range of 12 000 -14 000 characters. The references to related work must be appropriate. The list of references should include 20 sources at least minimum. Papers need to be related to the main topic of the conference and conference's topic fields. We publish papers written in good English only.


Please read the detailed Elsevier Publication Ethics. (based on Elsevier recommendations and COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors). If a paper contains figures or tables taken from other sources, the author must get the respective permission for reproduction them from the corresponding publishers.


Number of authors in a single paper is 4 person maximum. One person can be the author of not more than 2 articles. The corresponding author is the person chosen within the group to be responsible for all contact and correspondence with the periodical. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors (and no one inappropriate co-authors) are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Venue and Accomodation

The conference will be held in the Congress center of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Saint Petersburg, Russia. The modern congress center with comfortable halls is equipped with everything necessary for conferences and other events. The center is located in the heart of the university campus on in the north of St. Petersburg in walking distance from the Metro station Polytekhnicheskaya.

Saint Petersburg (former Leningrad) is the second largest city in Russian Federation, politically incorporated as a federal subject of Russian Federation. It is located on the Neva River at the coast of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea.

For conference participants it is recommended to book hotels in the city center near the red metro line (distance from the city center about 20 minutes by metro to the venue).
